Another year done! Another year full of incredible memories and full of incredible people! I really thought at the end of 2014 that things couldn’t get any better and were surely going to level out but I was quiet wrong. This past year has been a really special year for me in more ways than one. The business has thrived and I have met some really special people along the way! We hit the 5 year mark this summer and felt privileged to give away a full wedding on our Facebook Page for free (Congrats again Laura!)! To be in the position to do something like that was really special! We have shot weddings in Lanzarote & Scotland along with engagement shoots in France & Spain! It has been a truly incredible adventure and I would like to thank everyone for joining us along the way!

A fond farewell to David Olsthoorn Photography..
Yes you heard that right! A name & brand that has been with me since the day I left school, something that I have watched grow, learned everything I know about business with, put every ounce of myself into and something that was a ginormous part of my life for the last 5 years. Am I sad to see it go.. Not for a minute! Sure it is a little emotional when things change, like your kid going off to college or upgrading and selling on your very first car.. But this is a different kind of change. A change that is a representation of growth and accomplishment! I am thrilled with what David Olsthoorn Photography has done and I am truly grateful to all the couples & families that have invited me into their homes. To every mother of the bride who has made me cups of tea. To all the fathers of the grooms who have brought me walking the land, showed me their gardens & introduced me to their livestock on wedding mornings. For all the bride & grooms who have had the trust in me and for letting me do my thing at all your weddings! I have a huge amount of love for you all!!
It is with a huge amount of pride and a whole bunch of excitement that my girlfriend Laurie and I announce our new company! Awake and Dreaming Photography!!!
A full re brand and re design of everything which will be launching in a couple of weeks. A wedding photography company ran by two people dedicated to telling true love stories! We are excited to push this new company in lots of ways!
It has been a dream for both of us for a long time and its finally happening! As with any business transition the process will take a while but all will be relieved in the coming weeks.
We really can’t wait to show you guys! Keep an eye on the Facebook & Instagram for any little announcements! We are expecting a full launch sometime in late January! 🙂
